what you'll learn

With updated material and an improved teaching style, participants will be equipped with the necessary tools to fulfill your commitments to your athletes and ignite your personal and professional growth.

The 2026 curriculum is designed to help coaches intentionally develop athlete readiness from the Sectional to National level by:

  • Clarifying what National-Level readiness entails
  • Providing coaches with a repeatable developmental framework
  • Emphasizing that progression is designed, measurable, and holistic
  • Reducing reliance on vague or chance-based explanations of success
  • Facilitating discussions on strokes, drills, and season planning

Curriculum Details

The central coaching question guiding the 2026 program is: “What must an athlete consistently demonstrate both physically and cognitively to be prepared for the next level, and how do we deliberately develop those qualities?"

The following topics may be addressed at each clinic:

  • Defining the Goal: What a National-Level Swimmer Really Looks Like
  • Seeing the Whole Athlete: Skills Every Developing Swimmer Needs
  • Measuring What Matters & Coaching What Comes Next
  • Bringing National Team Insights to Your Pool
  • Why It’s Not About “Talent”: What Actually Drives Long-Term Success
  • Developing the Whole Swimmer: Skills Beyond the Stopwatch

Learning Through Facilitation

Facilitated learning empowers coaches to take confident ownership of their education, while presenters equip them with the tools, insights, and support needed to get the most out of every session. This dynamic approach creates an engaging, solution‑driven environment where collaboration fuels meaningful discussions and inspires innovation.  At the Regional Coaches’ Clinic, you’ll experience the full power of facilitated learning- active participation, energized teamwork, and the open exchange of ideas that help teams tackle shared challenges and elevate their performance.
